The diet is one of the most important factors which have a direct impact on three Doshas/humor. To keep these Doshas balanced, our diet should contain all Tastes (Rasa) in a balanced way.

Ayurveda firmly believes that good health starts with the proper metabolism of food and a good digestive system.

According to Ayurveda, five elements make up the universe — Vayu (air), Jala (water), Akash (space), Teja (fire), and Prithvi (earth).

As in Ayurveda, these elements are known as three Doshas, Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.

1.    Pitta (fire + water): This dosha generally has a medium physical build, short temper, and may suffer from conditions like indigestion, heart disease, or high blood pressure.

2.    Vata (air + space): People with this dosha are usually thin with a light frame and may struggle with digestive issues, fatigue, or anxiety when out of balance.

3.    Kapha (earth + water):  this dosha generally often have a sturdier frame and may have issues with weight gain, asthma, depression, or diabetes.
